About Broumov

Broumov (Czech pronunciation: [ˈbroumof]; German: Braunau) is a town in Náchod District in the Hradec Králové Region of the Czech Republic. It has about 7,000 inhabitants. The town is located on the Ścinawka River in the Broumov Highlands, near the border with Poland. Broumov was probably founded in 1255. The

There are three important historic buildings, protected as national cultural monuments: the Benedictine monastery, the Church of the Virgin Mary and the Church of Saint Wenceslaus. The historic town centre is well preserved and is protected as an urban monument zone.
