1. Who you are dealing with
Plan Your Road Trips (“PYRT”, “we”, “us”) is Plan Your Road Trips, operated by a sole trader based in the United Kingdom. You can contact us at [email protected], and we aim to reply within a few working days.
By creating an account, using the website or apps, or buying from the shop, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the service.
2. What the service does
PYRT helps you plan road trips. You can build multi-day itineraries, add stops and route them, discover places along the way, keep bookings, receipts and documents together, record drives you have taken, and share trips with people travelling with you. It is available as a website and as apps for iOS and Android.
Some features use artificial intelligence to suggest routes, stops and itineraries, and to read receipts and travel emails you choose to give us. These suggestions are generated automatically and can be wrong — see section 7.
3. Your account
You need an account for most features. You must give accurate details, keep your password to yourself, and tell us if you think someone else has got into your account. You are responsible for what happens under it.
You must be at least 16 to create an account. You can delete your account at any time from Settings, which removes your trips and associated content.
4. What it costs
The core planner is free to use. Some features are limited on the free tier — the number of trips you can keep, and how many AI actions you can run in a day. Where a paid plan is offered, the price and what it includes are shown before you pay, and payment is handled by Stripe. We do not see or store your card details.
If you buy a subscription, you may cancel it at any time and it will run until the end of the period you have paid for. We do not give partial refunds for unused time unless the law requires it.
5. The shop
We sell physical items such as stickers and merchandise. This section applies when you buy one.
Orders
An order is an offer to buy. A contract forms when we confirm dispatch. If we cannot fulfil an order — an item is out of stock, or the price was displayed incorrectly — we will tell you and refund you in full.
Your right to cancel
If you are a consumer in the UK or EU, you have 14 days from receiving the goods to change your mind, for any reason and without giving one. Tell us at [email protected] and return the item within 14 days of telling us. We will refund you within 14 days of getting the item back, including standard outbound delivery.
Return postage is yours to pay unless the item is faulty or not what you ordered. Items must come back in a resalable condition. Personalised or made-to-order items are excluded from this right, as the law allows.
Faulty items
Nothing here affects your statutory rights. Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, goods must be as described, fit for purpose and of satisfactory quality. If something arrives faulty, tell us and we will replace or refund it.
Delivery
We aim to dispatch within a few working days. Delivery estimates are estimates, not guarantees. Risk passes to you when the item is delivered.
6. What you may not do
- Break the law, or use the service to help anyone else do so
- Upload content you do not have the rights to, or that is offensive, misleading or infringing
- Try to access accounts, data or systems that are not yours
- Scrape, crawl or bulk-extract data, or resell access to the service
- Interfere with the service or place unreasonable load on it
You keep ownership of the trips, photos and content you upload. By uploading, you give us permission to store and display it so the service can work, and to show it to people you share it with. If you make a trip public, you are choosing to publish it. We may remove content that breaks these terms.
7. Planning information and AI
Routes, driving times, suggested stops, weather, costs and AI-generated itineraries are provided for planning only. They come from third-party data and automated systems, and they can be incomplete, out of date or simply wrong.
Always check road conditions, opening times, border and vehicle requirements, and drive according to the conditions and the law. Do not interact with the app while driving. We are not responsible for decisions made on the basis of what the service suggests.
8. Other people's services
The service connects to third parties — mapping and routing providers, Google and Microsoft for calendar and email import, Splitwise, Stripe, and others. Connecting one is optional and covered by that provider's own terms. We are not responsible for their availability or content.
9. Our intellectual property
The software, design, branding and the curated place data are ours or our licensors'. You may use them to use the service, and not otherwise. Map data is used under licence from our providers, and place imagery is used under the licences of its sources.
10. Availability
We try to keep the service running but cannot promise it will always be available or error-free. We may change, suspend or withdraw features. If we plan significant disruption we will give notice where we reasonably can.
11. Ending it
You can stop using the service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, and will tell you why unless we are prevented from doing so.
12. Liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot legally be limited — including your statutory rights as a consumer.
Subject to that, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits, or loss of data, and our total liability to you is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or £100.
The service is provided for personal, non-commercial trip planning. If you use it for business purposes, the consumer protections in these terms do not apply to you.
13. Your data
How we handle personal data is set out in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.
14. Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows when they last changed. For significant changes affecting your rights we will give reasonable notice. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept it.
15. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. If you live elsewhere in the UK you may bring proceedings in your own jurisdiction. Nothing here removes the protection of mandatory consumer law in your country of residence.
If something goes wrong, please contact us first — most things are quicker to sort out directly.
