The neighborhood is divided into four sections: Mykilska, Mykhailivska, Bratska, and Pivdenna (South) Borshchahivka. The first three are former villages incorporated into Kyiv, while the last section was built in 1980s in place of northern Bratska Borshchahivka. Two villages named Petropavlivska Borshchahivka and Sofiivska Borshchahivka also exist nearby, but they do not belong to Kyiv.
