San Andrés Hueyapan is a small town in the rural northeastern part of the Mexican state of Morelos, formerly in the municipality of Tetela del Volcán. Hueyapan became an independent municipality on January 1, 2019. Other new municipalities are Xoxocotla and Coatetelco. Hueyapan was granted its "clave geoestadística" by INEGI on July 15, 2020, making it eligible for federal funds.
