Trebnje (pronounced [ˈtɾéːbnjɛ] , German: Treffen) is a town in southeastern Slovenia. It lies on the Temenica River in the traditional region of Lower Carniola, and is the seat of the Municipality of Trebnje. The area was already settled in Antiquity.
