Solomon Popoli Linda (1909 – 8 September 1962), also known as Solomon Ntsele, was a South African musician, singer, and performer. He composed "Mbube", a defining South African song that revamped the isicathamiya genre and spawned a distinct genre of choral music. "Mbube" would evolve into "The Lion Sleeps Tonight" when it was reimagined by the Tokens in 1961.
