San Cristóbal de las Casas (Spanish: [saŋkɾisˈtoβal de las ˈkasas] ), also known by its native Tzotzil name, Jovel (pronounced [xɤ̞ˈve̞l]), is a town and municipality located in the Central Highlands region of the Mexican state of Chiapas.
