Portigliola (Calabrian: Portigghiòla) is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Reggio Calabria in the Italian region Calabria, located about 80 kilometres (50 mi) southwest of Catanzaro and about 50 kilometres (31 mi) northeast of Reggio Calabria. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 1,297 and an area of 6.0 square kilometres (2.3 mi2). Portigliola borders the following municipalities: Antonimina, Locri, Sant'Ilario dello Ionio.
