Nocera Superiore

Nocera Superiore (Neapolitan: Nucèrë or Nucèrä Superiórë) is a town and comune in the province of Salerno in the Campania region of south-western Italy. It was the core of the ancient city of Nuceria Alfaterna, later known as Nuceria Constantia, Nuceria Christianorum and then Nuceria Paganorum (Italian: Nocera dei Pagani), which also included the nowadays territories of Nocera Inferiore, Pagani and smaller towns.
