Nanyuki is a market town in Laikipia County, Kenya, located northwest of Mount Kenya along the A2 road and at the terminus of the branch railway from Nairobi. The name is derived from the Maasai word "Enyaanyukie," which means "resemblance." It lies just north of the Equator (0° 01' N).
