Muscat ( MUSK-at, -⁠ət, US also -⁠aht; Arabic: مَسْقَط, romanized: Masqaṭ, pronounced [ˈmasqatˤ] ) is the capital and most populous city of Oman. It is the seat of the Governorate of Muscat.
