Missolonghi or Mesolongi (Greek: Μεσολόγγι, pronounced [mesoˈloɲɟi]) is a town in western Greece. It is the capital of the Aetolia-Acarnania regional unit, and the seat of the municipality of Iera Polis Mesolongiou (Greek: Ιερά Πόλις Μεσολογγίου, lit. 'Sacred Town of Missolonghi'). According to the 2021 census, the municipality has a population of 32,048 people, of whom 13,965 live in the town of Missolonghi.
