The "Givati" Brigade (Hebrew: חֲטִיבַת גִּבְעָתִי, lit. '"Hill Brigade" or "Highland Brigade"') is the name of two Israel Defense Forces brigades: the 5th Brigade, an infantry brigade formed in 1947; and the 84th Brigade, an infantry brigade formed in 1983. During the 1948 war, the 5th Brigade was involved in capturing Palestinian villages in operations Hametz, Barak, and Pleshet.
