Droylsden

Droylsden is a town in Tameside, Greater Manchester, England, 4 miles (6.4 km) east of Manchester and 2 miles (3.2 km) west of Ashton-under-Lyne, with a population at the 2011 Census of 22,689. Within the boundaries of the historic county of Lancashire, in the mid-19th century Droylsden grew as a mill town on the Ashton canal.
