In physics, a dipole (from Ancient Greek δίς (dís) 'twice' and πόλος (pólos) 'axis') is an electromagnetic phenomenon which occurs in two ways: An electric dipole deals with the separation of the positive and negative electric charges found in any electromagnetic system.
