Dinas Powys (Welsh pronunciation: [ˈdinas ˈpɔwɪs]; also spelt "Dinas Powis" in English) is a town and community in the Vale of Glamorgan, South Wales. Its name means "fort of the provincial place" and refers to the Iron Age hillfort which overlooks the village.
